The event was co-organised by the Vietnamese Ministry of Industry and Trade and the South Korean company as part of a series of activities to promote Vietnamese goods in Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Russia, France and Germany.
Vietnamese goods are readily recognisable thanks to the Vietnamese flag and Korean wording reading Made in Vietnam, among the thousands of items in Lotte Mart, one of South Korea’s biggest retailers.
Promotional campaigns like this introduce Vietnamese goods to Korean consumers and help Korean consumers more easily recognise Vietnamese brands.
According to representatives from Lotte Mart, Vietnamese goods worth 50 million USD will enter Korea and will be sold in 116 malls and supermarkets throughout the country.
