Polling stations are being established throughout the province.
Residents of Xọp Village, Mô Rai Commune, Sa Thầy District, Kon Tum Province gather to learn more about the forthcoming parliamentary and local elections. Village head A Blăng is busy helping the locals fully understand the voting procedures for May 22nd.
Village head A Blang, Xop Village, Mo Rai Commune, Sa Thay District, Kon Tum Province said : “The local authorities and village heads have advised the residents of Xọp Village to stay in their neighbourhood, not get drunk and go and vote”.
Residents of Sa Thầy District have limited access to information about the election. The local authorities and especially military forces have travelled to each village to provide them with information about the candidates.
Bui Xuan Tuy, Deputy Technical Manager, Department of Economics, Army Corps 15 said: “We have regularly urged the locals to learn more about candidates standing for election as deputies to the National Assembly and to people’s councils”.
Nguyen Kim Thai, Vice Secretary of Sa Thay District Party Committee, Kon Tum Province said: “The local authorities prioritise informing the citizens of details about the candidates so that they can vote for the worthiest”.
Kon Tum Province has set up 13 provincial, 81 district and 674 commune election commissions and 750 voting centres. All of them are prepared for May 22nd, when the election takes place.
