"Chosen deputies are expected to realise state resolutions, while wholeheartedly serving the people", said Nguyen Hong Toan, a voter in Tay Ho District, Hanoi.
"I expect that if elected, the candidates will do what they pledged to do. Their action plans need to be in line with the people’s wishes", said Tran Bich Thuy, a voter in Hanoi.
Many voters hope that future deputies will give a voice to local issues and protect the will of the people. It is believed that these responsibilities can only be shouldered by bold and dedicated candidates.
"The people’s rights are a priority. We expect that future deputies fulfill their action plans without being affected by outside factors", said Huynh Van Tay - a voter in Cu Chi District, Ho Chi Minh City.
"I expect that future deputies are not only capable, but also bold enough to resolve local issues, and to focus on the questions and oversight of the people, rather than their own personal gain", said Nguyen Tat Thanh, a voter in Soc Son District, Hanoi.
Former NA deputy Nguyen Thi Hoai Thu asserted that the responsibility of deputies has become greater, as local expectations are higher, and they are under stricter supervision.
"It is the NA deputies’ responsibility to build a legal framework and address the country's most important issues. Deputies need to be devoted to these missions", said Nguyen Thi Hoai Thu, Former Chairwoman of NA Committee for Social Affairs.
The votes in the upcoming election symbolise the will of the people to choose the right deputies who will truly work for them and take action.
