The 2 sides reached consensus on stronger co-operation in economics, trade, investment, education and health care. Japan will continue promoting investment in Vietnam through phase 6 of the Japan-Vietnam Joint Initiative during this year.
The two sides signed a diplomatic note on the Japanese government’s provision of a nearly 200 million USD ODA loan for the 2015 fiscal year for phase II of a water environment improvement project in Ho Chi Minh City. Another diplomatic note on the Japanese government’s non-refundable aid for a project on human resources development scholarships for the 2016 fiscal year was also signed.
