She spoke highly of the co-operation between the Communist Party of Vietnam, the Communist Party of Italy and the Communist Refoundation Party.
She expressed her hopes for the future development of bilateral relations. Paolo Ferrero, General Secretary of the Italian Communist Refoundation Party pledged to work alongside the Communist Party of Vietnam in the world-wide socialist movement.
Meanwhile Ugo Moro, member of the Communist Party of Italy’s Politburo, said Vietnam’s achievements offered practical lessons for his party during its current reforms. National Assembly Vice Chairwoman also visited the Communist Party of Italy’s committee in the Veneto region based in the northern city of Mestre.
