Vietnam Fatherland Front President Nguyen Thien Nhan appealed for all people inside and outside Vietnam to offer cash and assistance in kind for the affected people to re-settle their lives. At the launch of a fund-raising campaign on Tuesday, the front received donations worth 360,000 USD.
On the same day, Vice President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh visited and presented gifts to flood victims in the central province of Quang Ngãi. She stressed that the local authorities needed to actively support the victims, especially in terms of food and relocation.
On Tuesday morning, Minister of Health Nguyen Thi Kim Tien went to inspect post-flood medical support in Bình Định Province's Phù Cát and Tuy Phước Districts. These were among the most isolated localities during the floods. The minister also asked local health agencies to instruct locals in water treatment, environmental sanitation, and disease prevention.
