Lotus Village Festival 2023 will be held from 5/12 to 5/19 with many important activities in Vinh City, Nam Dan District and Cua Lo City, Nghe An Province.
This is an important cultural event, an opportunity for people throughout the country in general and Nghe An in particular to express their infinite respect and gratitude to dear Uncle Ho, held annually at the provincial level and every 5 years at the national level.
The highlight of this year's Lotus Village Festival is the "Mother of Lotus Village" art program, which will be held simultaneously in Vinh City (Nghe An Province) and Hue City (Thua Thien - Hue Province). The program will use folk music and cultural materials from Lotus Village, Uncle Ho's hometown, and Hue, which are rich in emotions and spaces reminiscent of Uncle Ho's hometown.
Festival activities at the Lotus Village Festival in 2023 include Lotus Village Singing Festival in Nghe An Province in 2023; Exhibition with themes about Uncle Ho; Folk Performances of Purse, Gim and Performing Arts Exchange; Volleyball Tournament and Traditional Martial Arts Tournament of Lotus Village Festival in 2023; Cultural, Art and Sports Activities and Camps; Folk Games related to Uncle Ho's childhood activities at Lotus Village Stadium and Chung Son Temple. In addition, street festivals, culinary competitions to prepare lotus dishes, and many exciting cultural and tourist activities will be organized to attract tourists from all over the world to Uncle Ho's hometown.
The opening program of Lotus Village 2023 Festival and the art program "The Mother of Lotus Village" will be broadcast live on VTV2 channel today, May 12, at 8:00 pm.
