At the 41st session of the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) held in Geneva on July 4th, Vietnam accepted 241, or nearly 83 percent, of 291 recommendations made by UN member countries within the framework of the Universal Periodic Review (UPR) mechanism under the third-cycle. The rejection of 50 recommendations was due to their inconsistencies with Vietnam's policies, laws, and conditions.
The spirit of goodwill and practical results that Vietnam has achieved is the greatest testament to Vietnam's commitment to promoting and protecting human rights.
