On June 27th, the local Department of Information and Communications sent a document requesting domain managers in Vietnam to stop services to Zalo.vn and Zalo.me because they function as social networks but without a license.
A administrative fine was also imposed on VNG for establishing the Zalo social network without a license. Up to now, VNG has not finished the license application for the two domains.
