This year marks the event's 15th season, and the 4-day program is expected to showcase impressive fashion collections.
The opening night featured Vietnamese and international designers and brands: Designer Lê Thanh Hòa, the Marangoni Fashion Institute from Italy, and Frederick Lee from Singapore.
The highlight of the night was the opening collection of designer Lê Thanh Hòa. The collection, named "Flowers on Waves," was produced using ancient silk from the Mã Châu village and raffia palm fiber. Notably, the collection also featured designs made from recycled rags, contributing to the promotion of sustainable fashion within the community.
The Vietnam International Fashion Week was first held in 2014, and quickly became the leading fashion event in ASEAN. It ranks fourth in Asia after Tokyo, Seoul and Shanghai fashion weeks.
This year marks the 15th edition of the Aquafina Vietnam International Fashion Week (AVIFW).
