On the evening of February 3, the political-thematic art program The Road Ahead took place at the Vietnam-Soviet Friendship Labor Cultural Palace in Hanoi and was broadcast live on VTV2. Conceived as a symphonic tribute, the program marked the 96th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 - February 3, 2026) and the 40th of the country's renewal process following the 6th National Party Congress. It also celebrated the success of the 14th National Party Congress and welcomed the Lunar New Year of Binh Ngo 2026. Culture Newspaper organized the event in coordination with relevant agencies.
“The Road Ahead” revisits the Party’s proud revolutionary tradition and reaffirms its comprehensive leadership throughout Vietnam’s revolutionary journey, from the struggle for national independence to nation-building and development in the era of renewal and international integration. The program also expressed deep gratitude from today’s generation to those who devoted and sacrificed their lives for national independence and the Party’s revolutionary cause. By doing so, the program aimed to nurture revolutionary ideals among young people and help them better understand history, their responsibilities, and mission in the cause of national development.
With an 80-minute runtime and a carefully staged, multi-disciplinary artistic format, rich in ideological content and high aesthetic value, “The Road Ahead” was a meaningful cultural event that fostered a spirit of optimism, unity, and forward-looking determination. It reflected the resolve of the entire Party, people, and armed forces in the journey to build and safeguard the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
The program brought together many well-known artists, including People’s Artist Quoc Hung, Meritorious Artist Tan Nhan, singers Dong Hung, Ta Quang Thang, Dao Mac, Thu Hang, national child singing champion Duong Duc Hai, along with the Choir of the Vietnam National Academy of Music and the Selena Dance Troupe.
It also featured a large ensemble of musicians, dancers, and professional performers who formed a strong, cohesive force capable of meeting the demands of large-scale productions imbued with epic character and ideological depth.
The program had a three-part structure that created a unified narrative arc, seamlessly connecting the past, the present, and the future.
