Vietnam Television Wins A and B Prizes at the 10th Annual Golden Hammer and Sickle Awards 2025

VTV.vn - Vietnam Television (VTV) was honored with an A Prize for the work “Nguyen Ai Quoc - Ho Chi Minh: The Journey to Find the Shape of the Nation”.

On the evening of February 3, 2026, the ceremony honoring outstanding Party Cell Secretaries and announcing and presenting the 10th  annual Golden Hammer and Sickle Awards –  took place at the Ho Guom Theatre in Hanoi. The Central Organization Commission coordinated the event with  the  Communist Review, Nhan Dan Newspaper, Vietnam Television, and the Vietnam Journalists Association. This significant  political and social event  was  held  in celebration  of the 96th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam,   the success of the 14th National Party Congress, and  the arrival of the Lunar New Year of Binh Ngo 2026. It embodied the spirit of “celebrating the Party, celebrating Spring, and celebrating the nation”.

This year, the Golden Hammer and Sickle Awards tallied  2,296 submissions, comprising  643 print journalism pieces, 866 online articles, 464 television productions, 230 radio programs, and 93 photojournalism entries. The submitted works  demonstrated diversity in topics and formats, comprehensively reflecting Party building and the political system nationwide. Central media outlets played an active role, submitting  many in-depth, high-quality works. Notably, local media demonstrated stronger and  more systematic investment, with a large number of high-quality entries distributed relatively evenly across media formats.

The Final Jury selected the most outstanding works and submitted them to the Awards Steering Committee, which decided to present six A Prizes,  thirteen B Prizes, eighteen C Prizes, ten Thematic Prizes, and thirty-five Consolation Prizes. In addition, the Steering Committee commended fifteen collectives, including propaganda and mass mobilization commissions, party organization departments, media agencies, and journalist associations, for their outstanding contributions to  the organization and delivery of the Awards at the local and institutional levels.

At the award ceremony, VTV received the A Prize for Nguyen Ai Quoc - Ho Chi Minh: The Journey to Find the Shape of the Nation, produced by the author group Duc Hoang, Thanh Xuan,  Quynh Lien,   Thu Ha, Tran Thi Thanh Xuan, Hoai An, Thanh Phuong, Tien Vu, Van Viet, Tuan Anh, Quoc Quy and Hoang Hien.

A distinctive feature of the documentary is its use of valuable original archival materials from archives, libraries, and museums in Vietnam and abroad. The film incorporates newly declassified documents from Russia and the United States, shedding further light on lesser-known periods of Ho Chi Minh’s revolutionary activities.

In addition to the A Prize, VTV was also awarded a B Prize for the work Seeds of Happiness, produced by the author group Tu Luong, Duc De, Doan Luu and Thu Huong.
