VTV.vn - Louise Brown, the world’s first baby born through In Vitro Fertilization technique (IVF), celebrates her 40th birthday on Wednesday, July 25th, 1978 in Oldham, England.

The public reaction to this breakthrough fertility treatment and the “baby of the century” was decidedly mixed, however.

Today, millions of babies have been born worldwide using IVF and other advanced reproductive technologies. Assisted reproduction technology has brought happiness and wish fulfillment to many people over the 40 years it's been in existence.

Louise Brown hopes scientists continue their effort to help unfortunate families to have their own children in the future.
