VTV.vn - Son La province is now the largest agricultural commodity area in Northern Vietnam, with nearly 59,000 hectares of fruit trees and an annual output of more than 218 thousand tons, a double from the amount of 4 years ago.

Apart from developing native fruits, Son La also grows southern fruits such as mangoes, longans, and green skin pomelos, with outstanding quality. This success is attributed to the formation of farming cooperatives as well as the adaptation of new farming methods.

Implementing the smart cooperative model has helped create changes in key agricultural regions such as Nà Sản and Mộc châu. Mangoes from these localities have reached the Australian market and will soon reach other international markets.
