VTV.vn - About one third of countries in the world are lacking clean water.

The figure will go up to about two thirds by 2025, which is equal to 35% of the global population. These statistics were widely agreed upon by international organisations during the ongoing conference, "Managing Transboundary Water: From Policy to Practice".

Climate change is worsening the exhaustion of water resources around the world. The big question for all countries is how to manage and use the remaining water resources effectively.

Water shortages are a serious problem that threatens sustainable development. Vietnam is also facing difficulties in terms of water. Two thirds of water currently in use depends on other countries because the two main river systems originate from neighbouring countries.
