One of the most visible impacts is the slowly disappearing reading culture of the youth. Smart phones, iPads and other devices have occupied time that could be spent reading books. To assist in altering these habits, the education sector has implemented the Green Library at the primary school level and are already seeing initial benefits.
Creating and maintaining good habits and fostering the passion for reading in youngsters are the aims of both the education sector and students' parents. In order to help them maintain useful habits this initiative needs the support of families, schools and society.
