This is a preparation ceremony for the first catch of the year organised by Binh Chau Commune Fishing Association. Each fisherman strives to keep responsibility of their traditional fishing fields. 158 large-capacity fishing vessels from Binh Chau commune are getting ready for the new season.

There are 432 fishing vessels in Binh Chau Commune, with a total capacity of more than 77,000 horsepower, catching more than 16,200 tons in 2015. Accordingly, the commune is determined to stick to the sea, and achieve high efficiency in 2016.

After the ceremony, these fishing vessels will head to the Paracel and Spratly Archipelagoes with the hope of a good harvest season in 2016.
