The event has drawn 82 riders from 40 countries and territories worldwide, with 18 from Vietnam. Viet Nam has been chosen as one of three countries to hold the Kiteboard Championship, besides Thailand and China. As host of the event, Ninh Thuan will have the chance to develop marine sports in the province. In addition, the event will strengthen international exchange in Vietnam.
