1,500 people qualified to donate blood today and so far 1,700 units of blood have been contributed. This has exceeded the organisers' expectation for HCMC by 500 units. After just 1 week the campaign has collected a total of 4,000 blood units. This is considered to be a great achievement as this year's campaign has smashed the event's all-time record for the highest volume of donated blood collected.
