Lam Dong has taken the lead in expanding hi-tech agriculture, which has resulted in the province achieving the region’s highest economic growth rate over the last 5 years. Hi-tech agriculture contributes one third of Lam Dong’s production value and has led to an agricultural growth rate of 8.5 percent, twice the national level. This growth has increased the local per capita income to 1,700USD a year. The province has focused on hi-tech agriculture as one of 3 development goals for the future.
