Tourism revenues topped VNĐ 41.5 trillion (US$1.86 billion), an increase of 4.7 per cent.
This year the tourism industry has a target of 5.1 million foreign and 21.8 million domestic tourists and total revenues of VNĐ103.7 trillion ($4.65 billion).
To achieve the goal, authorities have been trying to develop new tourism products, marketing traditional destinations and improving service quality and safety.
