As said by VASEP, the main fishing grounds for Vietnamese seafood exports are located in waters far from the mainland of Danang city and the southern provinces.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development has also surveyed and confirmed that sea water is still safe in areas located 20-30 nautical miles off the 4 provinces affected by mass fish deaths. The Ministry has tightened control over seafood production for exports.
