Since Vietnam opened its market for French agricultural products including apples, beef and kiwis, the number of produces imported from France in Vietnam in 2016 reached 240 million US dollars. This number is expected to continue to grow this year, especially when the EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement comes into effect.
Following apples, beef and kiwi fruit, potatoes will be the next French agro-product allowed to export to Vietnam. The first batch of French potatoes will soon be available to consumers in January or February.
