VTV.vn - The French government plans to ban students from using their mobile phones in the country's primary, junior and middle schools.

The proposed ban was included in Emmanuel Macron's successful presidential election campaign this year. Jean-Michel Blanquer, the French education minister, said that the measure would come into effect at the start of the next school year in September 2018.

The measure will apply to all French students from the time they start school at the age of six, up to roughly 15 years of age, when they enter high school.

Currently, measures to implement the ban remains a big issue.
