From June 14th to July 9th, it is estimated that 5 huge floods with total rainfall of 250 to 350mm have hit the region. Total damages have been estimated at more than 96 billion VND ( 4.2 million USD). 6 houses were reported to have collapsed completely while nearly 1,300 houses have been damaged due to inundation. Nearly 4,000 hectares of crops have been lost and 69 waterway systems have been damaged. 9,000 metres of roads have also suffered damage due to landslides./.
