The target was raised at a workshop reviewing tax collection of Hanoi's Department of Taxation in the first half of this year held on July 10th. Budget collection in the first 6 months of 2017 reached about 4.1 billion USD, up 18% against the same period last year. The result is thanks to positive signs of the economy with higher number of firms earning profits. Being among the localities contributing the most to the state budget, the Ministry of Finance asked the city to collect 527.5 million USD higher than the set target this year./.
