Today, an event to promote Ngoc Linh ginseng and agro products of the mountainous area of Quang Nam province took place in the center of Nam Tra My district, Quang Nam province.
Most of the products displayed are medicinal herbs. Many farmers in Nam Tra My district bring ginseng from their garden to sell at the fair. Ngoc Linh Ginseng is now sold from three thousand USD to seven thousand USD per kilogram depending on the age of the ginseng. At present, seven communes in Nam Tra My district have been growing Ngoc Linh ginseng. The total area of Ngọc Linh ginseng increased from 100 hectares 5 years ago to 1300 hectares. Many farmers in Nam Tra My district become billionaires.
With great economic and medicinal value, the Prime Minister has approved Ngoc Linh ginseng as a national product.
