One of the most common solutions is to build river and coastal embankments but they take a lot of time to complete and are quite expensive. However, creating ecological embankments by planting cajuput fences to protect river banks are less costly and more practical. After 2 years the model has proven to be quite effective.
Over the past 2 years, Phung Hiep District has built nearly 17km of ecological embankments and they've cost less than 86,000 US dollars. The model continues to be replicated and has created a green belt for the locality.
