Phase 2 of the project will process 45,000 cubic meters of soil and sludge contaminated with dioxin, and is expected to be completed by the middle of next year.
The dismantlement and repayment of infrastructure will be completed by 2018.
The dioxin remediation project at Da Nang Airport has been conducted by the US Agency for International Development and the Ministry of Defense. A target of 90,000 cubic meters has been set for processing, with treated land areas being used for the expansion of Da Nang Airport.
