The vice president commended the For a Brighter Tomorrow fund for organising the celebrations for the young patients. Besides the gifts for the children, the vice president donated VND50 million to the fund. The same day, Health Minister Nguyễn Thị Kim Tiến visited children patients at the Tumour Department at the Central Paediatric Hospital, in Hanoi. The minister and the head of the fund presented 70 gifts to all children in the department. The Mid-Autumn Festival takes place on the 15th of the eighth lunar month and is traditionally a celebration for children.
