These were among the latest batch of 14 artifacts that have recently been recognised, which has brought the total number of national treasures to 88.
Many experts and archeologists consider the artifacts to be unique and extremely rare. The thousand-year-old pieces are now exhibited in Tra Lien Tower Historical Site in Trieu Giang Commune of Quang Tri Province.
The 2 pieces feature archetypical Cham temple architecture and design of the 9th Century. Each sculpture has been intricately crafted.
The 2 national treasures are now on display in an outdoor exhibition in Quang Tri Museum and require more elaborate conservation care.
