PM orders audit into mass fish deaths

Prime Minister Nguyễn Xuân Phúc has directed local authorities in Hà Tĩnh, Quảng Bình, Quảng Trị, Thừa Thiên Huế to make a clear and accurate report on the losses recorded by seafood farming households, and propose measures to support local residents following gigantic levels of fish poisoning.

The prime minister also asked agencies to actively co-ordinate with Ministry of National Resources and Environment, and Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development to urgently clarify the cause of the mass fish death in these localities.

The prime minister also directed ministries and local authorities to enhance environmental protection.
