General Secretary Trong reiterated Vietnam’s consistent policies of considering Japan one of its top important partners, calling on Kishida to continue to support measures to boost political trust, economic connectivity between the two countries, Vietnam’s sustainable development, as well as increase bilateral co-operation in international issues.
Minister Kishida said Mr. Trong’s visit reflects importance of Vietnam’s bonds and attachment with Japan. He said Japan will increase co-operation with Vietnam for peace and stability in the East Sea, adding that Japan will continue providing Vietnam with ODA to upgrade Vietnam’s infrastructure. He also pledged his continued efforts to further boost the bilateral strategic partnership.
