Party General Secretary Nguyễn Phú Trọng, State President Trần Đại Quang, Prime Minister Nguyễn Xuân Phúc, National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyễn Thị Kim Ngân, Vietnam Fatherland Front President Nguyễn Thiện Nhân, together with former state leaders, attended the ceremony to pay tribute to the fallen soldiers and their sacrifices. The State President presented the Fatherland Defence Order, First Class, to each crew member of the CASA 212.
