Starting at 6.30 p.m., the “A Little Love” concert is aimed to raise funds for the Trinh Cong Son Music Scholarship program.
Evan Le will perform famous songs that have been associated with the reputation of Vietnamese composer Trinh Cong Son such as Diem xua and Mua hong.
Le, who was born in 2011 in Torrance, California, showed piano playing talent after he met his first instructor Tuong Van, a lecturer of Virtuosos Russian Music Academy (VRMA) School of Music. Van encouraged his parents to allow him to learn playing the piano.
He shot to fame after winning third prize at the VStar Kids Contest for talented children of Vietnamese origin in the US. Le grew more famous as he played Turkey March by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart in NBC’s Little Big Shots program in March 2016.
According to the organizing committee, nearly 400 tickets have been sold at the price of VND850,000 each. All proceeds from the event will be used to fund scholarships for talented Vietnamese students from disadvantaged families to pursue passion for music and arts.
