VTV.vn - With mobile services on the rise and payment options still a black hole, 1Pay from Vietnam, a start-up project which just came into being earlier this year, is focused on mobile payments for digital goods.

1pay was one of the two Vietnamese start-up projects that won a ticket to Silicon Valley. With the idea of bringing mobile payments in Vietnam to the next level, 1Pay was launched by MOG, a start-up company established in 2011.

Tran Anh Dzung, Co-founder, MOG said: The power of technology has changed our lives. I believe start-up enterprises will create a trend that can affect the economy. If Vietnamese start-up enterprises do not do it, then foreign enterprises will.

1Pay is one of the most successful programs for mobile payment, with 3000 clients from 8 countries. It allows customers to pay by SMS, online, and via prepaid cards. Starting with just an idea, 1Pay is now a technology product that plans to reach $15 million in billing in 2016, which is the goal that every start-up wants to achieve.

"I think the belief that we will succeed is the main reason for what we have today. Start-up enterprises in Vietnam have met many barriers, especially in the online payment field", Luyen Ngoc Huy, CEO & Co-founder, MOG added.

The MOG has launched a new branch in Indonesia, and expects to become a leader in mobile payment in South East Asia.
