The Vietnamese Association in the Czech Republic’s capital of PRAGUE, held a party to welcome the New Year of 2016, attracting over 300 Vietnamese nationals. The party included music performances. Attendees at the event also summarised their achievements and difficulties in 2015, and discussed plans for 2016.
Russia
The temperature in Russia dropped to minus 10 degrees centigrade, but Vietnamese students here still celebrate the New Year. They waited in long lines to take some photos at Red Square in Moscow despite freezing temperatures. Russian songs and melodies evoked a sense of cosiness to these far-from-home Vietnamese./.

In Singapore, many Vietnamese students and tourists joined the locals to celebrate New Year's Eve at the city's Marina Bay. Despite the rain, colourful fireworks warmed up the night welcoming in the new year.
