In a recently issued joint statement on technology connectivity strategy, Vietnam and Singapore have pledged to deepen cooperation in science, technology, innovation, and the digital economy under their Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, aiming to become Southeast Asia's leading technology partners.
The joint strategy targets co-development across key high-tech sectors alongside the responsible rollout of AI and high-quality workforce training.
Both nations will also facilitate cross-border data flows and support the ASEAN Digital Economy Framework Agreement.
Marking 30 years of the VSIP model, both sides are advancing a smarter, greener "VSIP 2.0" and establishing the Vietnam Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre, with progress steered through the bilateral Ministerial Connectivity Meeting and field-specific MOUs.
