The event starts at 7:00 am with 21-gun salute. It was aired live by national broadcaster Vietnam Television.
The parade started from Ba Dinh Square and split into two directions: one heading for Nguyen Thai Hoc, Kim Ma, Lieu Giai and the other for Nguyen Thai Hoc, Hang Khay, Trang Tien,The Opera House.
Some other streets were closed to vehicles including Trang Thi and Trang Tien in Hoan Kiem District, Nguyen Chi Thanh in Dong Da District and some roads in Tay Ho District.
