Although Vietnamese exports saw record-breaking numbers last year, unpredictable fluctuations in global trade still poses challenges. This information was released at the Vietnam Export Promotion Forum 2018, which focuses on solutions for fast-growing and sustainable exports. In the coming time, agricultural and aquatic products including coffee, cocoa, pepper, rubber as well as electronics, garments, textile, and steel will be Vietnam's major exports. However, participants at the forum also discussed the challenges in trade relations and rising protectionism. In addition, administrative procedures for exports are still complicated and exporters still do not have a firm grasp on global markets. In the near future, the Ministry of Industry and Trade will submit a master plan for exports to the government
