Vietnam, Cuba to strengthen judicial co-operation

At the reception, the state president said he highly appreciated co-operation between the two countries and was keen to see it continue. 

The State President of Vietnam Truong Tan Sang noted that the law played a vital role in defending people’s rights and ensuring the successful operation of the government and state. He added Vietnam was ready to share its experience with Cuba and highlighted the need for both to increase exchanges in experiences regarding legislative processes, the judiciary and legal training.

The Cuban guest expressed his interest in hearing about Vietnam’s experience in the new period and said that Vietnam’s foreign policy initiatives and socio-economic development offered useful lessons for Cuba.
