Addressing a ceremony to mark 20 years of the traditional day of the Vietnam Coast Guard in Hanoi on August 28, NA Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan presented a third-class Military Order to the Vietnam Coast Guard in recognition of its achievements.
She stressed the important role of Vietnam’s seas and islands with regards to national construction and defense.
The NA Chairwoman also urged them to work harder in order to improve the combat capacity of all Party committees and organizations and raise the quality of personnel training. Apart from communication, they need to pay attention to international cooperation and collaborate with law enforcement forces and the relevant agencies of foreign countries to address all sea-related issues.
