During their meeting, he asked the Indian Minister to foster cooperation in defense and security between the two countries and stressed that the two nations should prioritize economic relations, especially when collaborating to reduce trade remedies.
The Prime Minister also affirmed that Vietnam supports India’s Act East policy and hopes that India will support ASEAN’s role in the region. Minister of External Affairs Sushma Swarajr affirmed that India would like to bolster cooperation with Vietnam in various fields and that India will continue to support peaceful methods to deal with disputes in the East Sea in accordance with international laws.
