The event is expected to draw the participation of the Departments of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Hai Phong, Vinh Phuc, Yen Bai, Son La, Thanh Hoa, Binh Dinh, Dak Lak, An Giang, Hau Giang, and Bac Lieu.
With the theme "Happy Family – Prosperous Nation", the Vietnamese Family Festival aims to honour the traditional cultural values of the Vietnamese family, while at the same time contributing to raising awareness of sectors, levels, and the entire society regarding the role and position of family in the cause of building and protecting the Fatherland.
This is also an opportunity for localities to exchange and share experiences in family work, aiming for the sustainable development of the family in the period of industrialisation, modernisation, and international integration.
This year’s event will feature a wide range of activities, such as displaying documents, images, and artifacts to introduce the cultural beauty of the family; communication on domestic violence prevention, women’s work, and gender equality; protecting and caring for children and the elderly; achievements in family economic development; and promotion and introduction of traditional crafts and products.
