Trade Counselor (Summit) 2016 closes

The conference reviewed activities of trade counselors and set new targets for them in 2016. Speaking at the conference, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung emphasized the importance of trade counselors in helping Vietnamese enterprises, especially small and medium-sized ones, enter foreign markets. Since Vietnam is entering a new phase of global integration, trade counselors must be more proactive in helping enterprises deal with trade barriers, trade remedies and trade disputes from import markets. Trade counselors should also help Vietnamese enterprises understand their import markets, and assist foreign companies with investment in the country./.
