The event saw the attendance of Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc, Former Communist Party General Secretary Le Kha Phieu, Former Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Sinh Hung, and Chairman of the Central Economic Committee Nguyen Van Binh.
At the event, PM Phuc appraised the achievements of the country’s banking system over the past 65 years and its key role in providing capital for the economy. The central bank has made great efforts and succeeded in curbing inflation, monitoring interest and exchange rates, stabilising the macro-economy, maintaining reasonable growth, restructuring, improving its operations and ensuring safety of the banking system. During the ceremony, the PM also awarded the Ho Chi Minh (3rd class) to the State Bank.
