"Combating climate change is a top priority in the EU's relations with Vietnam." This was the highlight of the speech of EU Ambassador to Vietnam Bruno Angelet at a climate change conference that took place this morning. The conference is part of EU Environment Week.
The talk was titled "Climate Change: Where are We, Where Do We Go, and How Does It Go." The discussion aimed to introduce the EU's support to Vietnam in combating climate change. The EU pays special attention to promoting Vietnam's energy transfer process through financial support. The energy sector is an important sector for economic growth but is also a source of greenhouse gas emissions. The seminar also wrapped up the EU Climate Diplomatic Week with many activities such as collecting trash, cleaning Hanoi up, and various environmental forums and workshops.
