With the support of the city, Vietnamese telecommunication service providers including Viettel, Vinaphone, and Mobifone will invest 132 million US dollars to develop a telecommunication infrastructure in Hanoi.
Accordingly, subjects for development include bandwidth extension, a 4G network, and an underground cable system. Free and secure wifi will be provided on a number of streets.
Telecommunication and power cable systems for 100 more streets will be brought underground this year. Traffic surveillance cameras will be installed on antennas, as part of the project.
