Strengthened defence ties with Thailand

VTV.vn - A high-ranking Vietnamese military delegation, led by defence minister General Ngo Xuan Lich, is now in Thailand for a 3-day visit to the country. General Lich was received by Thai Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha in Bangkok on Wednesday.

At the talks, the two sides expressed their pleasure at the positive developments in bilateral defence ties between Thailand and Vietnam. 

General Lich thanked the Thai government for supporting Vietnam in searching for the remains of Vietnamese soldiers in the Thai province of Nong Khai. He expressed his hope that the Thai government would continue to repatriate the remains from Thai soil.

The two sides also discussed measures to boost defence co-operation between the two countries in the coming time, contributing to deepening the strategic partnership between the two countries.
