VTV.vn - On March 28th, in Hanoi, the Communication and Education Commission of the Party Central Committee, the Steering Committee for International Dissemination International dissemination, and VTV organized the National Launching Ceremony for the International Dissemination Award.

For the 10th National Prize for International Dissemination, VTV is the coordinating body appointed by the Central Propaganda Committee and the Steering Committee for International Dissemination.

This award aims to recognize and celebrate the contributions of individuals who are involved in international communication. It is meant to inspire and motivate people to actively participate in promoting and sharing foreign information. The objective is to showcase Vietnam's image, culture, people, and intellect while also bringing the world closer to Vietnam.

Over the10 years, the award has evolved to include a wider range of works and participants, not only journalists but also researchers, artists, students, overseas Vietnamese, and foreigners.


The 10th National International Dissemination Awards will be presented in the following categories: (1)video clip; (2) innovative initiatives, and products with international dissemination value; (3) photography; (4) television; (5) radio broadcast; (6) books; (7) Vietnamese-language printed newspapers; (8) Vietnamese-language electronic newspapers and websites; (9) Foreign-language printed newspapers; (10) Foreign-language electronic newspapers and websites

During the launching ceremony, Mr. Đỗ Đức Hoàng - VTV's Deputy Director-General, emphasized VTV's commitment as the permanent agency for the award. Following the event, VTV will instruct related units to produce promotional trailers and introduce the process of submitting entries for the award. It will also schedule frequent broadcasts across various channels and digital platforms to enhance the award's visibility in society, thereby elevating the status of international dissemination work.

Mr. Đỗ Đức Hoàng reaffirmed VTV's role as a leading multimedia communication agency with significant influence through traditional television, online newspapers, print media, and various digital platforms in multiple languages: Vietnamese, English, French, Russian, Chinese, and Japanese. VTV will communicate extensively about the award and attract international participation. Moreover, with its many correspondents based around the world, VTV4, the foreign television channel, will serve as an effective bridge between Vietnamese authors abroad and foreign authors who are candidates for the award.

Vũ Thanh Mai, Deputy Head of the Communication and Education Commission, said that after 9 seasons, the National Foreign Information Award has confirmed its national brand, with many unique and distinctive features. The images of the country, its people, history, culture, and typical traits of Vietnam have received great attention from the public, and are frequently featured on reputable international media channels and the Internet.

The Awards Council welcomes all products/works from all over the country and worldwide, in different forms and languages, but with a ommon love for Vietnam's past, present, and future.

Mr. Vu Thanh Mai expressed his hope that the 10th National Foreign Information Award will effectively put into practice the Politburo Resolution No. 57-KL/TW. This will attract great public attention and be widely disseminated both at home and abroad. He also emphasized the importance of increasing the participation from young people and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) in social media. This activity is a focus of the 2024 Steering Committee's plan for international dissemination.

- The 10th National Foreign Information Award will consider entries in the following categories: (1) video clip; (2) initiatives, and products with international diffusion value; (3) photos; (4) television; (5) radio; (6) books; (7) Vietnamese print newspapers; (8) Vietnamese electronic newspapers/websites; (9) foreign print newspapers; (10) foreign electronic newspapers/websites.

- Entries must have been published, released, disclosed, created, and used domestically and internationally from July 1, 2023, to June 30, 2024. For works released before or after this period, at least 2/3 of the duration, and the number of works must be disclosed within the specified time.

- This year, the Organizing Committee encourages authors/groups to submit their entries electronically via email to:

In 2023, the 9th National National International Dissemination Awards received 1,456 entries. The award ceremony was held on the evening of October 12, 2023, at the Hanoi Opera House, where the Award Council selected 110 outstanding works to receive prizes, including 8 First Prizes, 22 Second Prizes, 30 Third Prizes, and 50 Encouragement Prizes. Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh attended the ceremony and delivered a speech.
